Plant Overview
This variable woody shrub forms an open habit on the coastal and a bushy willowy habit on the tablelands with stiff erect rigid branches. It has terete dark green needle-like leaves and the white tube-shaped flowers appear in a cluster from autumn to winter.

Cultural Uses Propagation
Blacknose is grown for its prickly foliage and upright habit. It is planted in native gardens or bushland regeneration areas and is used as a barrier plant in parks and gardens. It establishes in 2 - 3 years and is moderately long lived.
Sow seed when ripe in pots and maintain a temperature of 16 to 18 C (61 to 64 F) and apply bottom heat.
