This herbaceous bulbous perennial has a tufted growth habit with dark green strap-like leaves that appear during winter and the trumpet-like pink flowers appear in a cluster on a leafless scape during late summer.

Cultural Uses Propagation
The Naked Lady is grown for its flowers and is planted in perennial borders in small or cottage gardens. It is suitable for coastal or low-mountain regions establishing in 2 - 4 years from division and is moderately long lived.
Sow seeds when ripe during late autumn in a well drained seed mix at 5 mm (1/8 in) depth. It takes 2 years to produce flowers from seeds.Offsets can be detached when they have roots. Transplant the large bulbs is carried out during summer.
